More than 70 percent of FAU's 29,000 学生 take classes at FAU's first and largest campus, and the majority of the University's 170+ degree programs are based here. Wilkes Honors College which provides 440 学生 with a live-in, all-honors educational experience and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, the largest membership program of its kind in the nation.
More than 5,000 学生 take classes at FAU's second-largest campus. Conveniently located in central Broward County with Broward College as part of the South Florida Education Center, FAU 戴维 offers coursework in 30 degree programs. FAU's 港分公司 Oceanographic Institute (HBOI) is dedicated to exploring the world's oceans and integrating the science and technology of the sea with the needs of humankind. As a base of operations for a host of 研究 and academic programs – such as coral reef and estuary studies, marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, semester-at-sea programs and a variety of 研究 positions and internships – undergraduate 学生, graduate 学生 and faculty find HBOI's high-tech facilities and dynamic environment perfect for their varied pursuits.
The 劳德代尔堡 campus is strategically located at the Florida Atlantic Broward College Higher Education Complex (HEC) on Las Olas Boulevard in downtown 劳德代尔堡. The downtown campus is home to the School of Architecture; Graphic Design; and Film, 视频与新媒体. The campus also houses the MetroLab, an academic space that serves as a student exhibition and community engagement event space.
This waterfront 达尼亚海滩 facility (SeaTech) houses the Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering and complements the academic programs of the Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering. SeaTech is situated near the 达尼亚海滩 pier to take advantage of its close proximity to the Atlantic Gulf Stream current. It is home to industry-sponsored ocean engineering 研究 and technology development in the areas of acoustics, 海洋的车辆, hydrodynamics and physical oceanography, marine materials and nano-composites.
